Vader

2015 - 2023

Vader was our first family dog. We got him when he was 10 weeks old and the big “v” on his head solidified his name. He was a great dane with a personality as large as he was. He graced us with almost 8 1/2 years of his life. He was gentle, goofy, and lived for tug of war —even til the end. His absence has left our family feeling empty and words cannot describe the immense grief we feel from losing him; he was a large presence. He will always be remembered for how he sat on the couch and in people’s laps. He drank water from the sink faucet and needed a rag to wipe the slobber he couldn’t Control. He never missed an OPPORTUNITY for a treat and No matter how big he was, he never noticed his size. He enjoyed going on walks and sitting poolside watching the kids swim. He greeted everyone and wanted to be part of anything that was going on; He was family. I will miss the clicking of his nails on the hardwood floor and the sleepless nights he made me endure just so he could “go to the bathroom” at 3am while taking his sweet time taking in the cold crisp air as he walked around the pool while i waited eagerly for him to finish. Lol. He never left my side; He was loyal and had a beautiful soul. We will love and miss him forever.
